Dive Team Auxiliary
About the Auxiliary

The Dive Team Auxiliary is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization that was formed in 1983 to help fund the lifesaving efforts of the St. Clair County Sheriff Dive Team. Training and equipment needed to ready the team to save a life is expensive. The St. Clair County budget provides less than half of the yearly expenditures of the Dive Team, the Auxiliary works hard to raise finances to cover the rest.

Auxiliary Board of Directors
The Dive Team Auxiliary board of directors are elected in several different ways. The positional board members (Chair, Vice-Chair, Treasurer, Secretary) are elected by the Auxiliary general membership and were last elected in 2024 (serving four year terms). There are three seats for current Dive Chief personel and were last chosen by the Chiefs in 2021. Per bylaws these seats may be reappointed each year if the leadership of the Dive Team choose to do so. The final member of the board is appointed by the St. Clair County Sheriff as a liaison for the department itself.
